I’ve never had a problem sticking to a typical skincare routine. I religiously follow one and even on the latest of nights I follow a simplified version of it to avoid blemishes or problems with my skin. What I’m not so good at, is remembering to use additional beauty products. A couple of months ago I figured that in order to tackle this, I should incorporate a second step to my evening beauty routine, involving all of those products I tend to forget. The following is a list of things that I make sure to keep in my bedside table so that they’re handy and ready to use right before bed.
A Calming Candle
I find a calming candle an essential addition to my bedside table. At the moment I’m burning a Neom candle which has quite a strong lavender scent making it perfect for evening calming and relaxation.
Body butter is something which I used to struggle to remember. I then got to a stage in which I couldn’t fit any more body lotion birthday and Christmas gifts into storage and I knew I had to start tackling them. After incorporating it into my bedside routine I now use it almost everyday and my legs are looking and feeling much better for it.
I honestly have about thirty different hand creams which have also built up from gift sets over the years. By keeping them in my bag, at my desk and in my bedside table, my hands are feeling softer and smelling better than ever before!
Supplements have really aided the health of my hair and nails and I like to take one every evening before bed. At the moment I’m taking Pure Biotin from TrueVit, by keeping it in my bedside table with my pill, I know that I won’t ever miss one.
Lip butter is something which I’ve never had a problem remembering. Applying it just after I’ve cleaned my teeth before I go to bed leaves my lips feeling soft and comfortable. It also ensures that they’re moisturised and ready for lipstick in the morning! I’m not too fussy when it comes to balms but at the moment my favourite are the EOS ones.
Hallelujah Hair Oil
I usually shower in the evening, but on days I know I’m going to be showering the next morning, I love applying this. Not only does it really moisturise my hair and leave it looking and feeling super healthy, it also contains plenty of essential oils. The scent which comes through the most is lavender which as I’ve already mentioned, is perfect for pre-bedtime relaxation.
