Generally, beauty subscription boxes aren’t for me. Although I think they’re a fantastic idea, I’ve ended subscriptions in the past after receiving a few too many things that I’m not overly interested in, or that I already own. I have to admit that I’m also a little bit of a control freak when it comes to parting with my hard earned money, preferring more control over what its actually providing me with.
I love to travel and to holiday. This Saturday I’m venturing off on my first of 2018, a short stay in Halkidiki, Greece. Although I’m one of those strange people who quite enjoys packing and is ready to go nearly weeks in advance, I do struggle when it comes to selecting what beauty products to take with me. When I’m at home I like having six different foundations to choose from based on how my skin looks that day. My shower hosts a variety of gels because I like to change it up, but apparently packing a variety of every product for a five-day trip is unnecessary.
Colorsport is a brand that I haven’t used in a very long time, six years to be precise. I remember it clearly because it was when I transitioned from high-school to sixth-form, which meant actually being allowed to wear makeup. I know right, a pretty big deal. Of course, not being allowed to wear make-up didn’t mean that I didn’t actually wear it.
Primark beauty has had a huge amount of positive attention recently for (supposedly) completely nailing dupes of cult beauty products like the KKW contour kit. I’m ashamed to say that I wouldn’t know, because I personally haven’t tried KKW beauty (yet!). Instead, I picked up a few products that looked similar to luxury beauty products that I have not only tried, but that I love!
Does anyone know where February went? In stark comparison to January, which felt like a year in itself, February has come and gone in the blink of an eye! The one thing that these months did have in common, was that they were both far too cold. We all know that cold weather comes with the panic around drying out skin and brittle nails. The majority of my highlights this month are skincare related.
