Christmases have such a long, exciting build up. Once Boxing Day is over, I always find it quite a shock to the system to go back to normal. I love spending a day or two after Christmas to have a really good sort out, a new years clean. Beginning a new year fresh and organised is a great feeling. At the end of the year I get rid of anything that I no longer want and make room for all of the lovely new Christmas gifts.
Here’s the typical Christmas gifts disclaimer: I’m writing this post because I’m super nosy and really enjoy reading them myself. I’m very grateful for everything that I received and count myself so lucky to have people who love me enough to have bought me such gorgeous things, but my intention is not to brag or to show off, just to write the kind of post that I know a lot of people find interesting! I’m also not going to include photos of some of the gifts, as I’ve been a little eager in their unboxing (some clothes are in the wash, some candles have already been lit, you get the picture…).
From Friends and Family
My parents took Jamie and myself to Winter Wonderland. They also bought us a few joint presents and some lovely food, clothing and Ted Baker beauty products. A few relatives gave us some money so that we can choose our own gifts, I got some lovely Disney PJs from one of my best friends, and some perfume and cosmetics from other family members (you can really tell my favourite things are Disney and anything beauty!).
Jamie spoilt me absolutely rotten this year and completely surprised me with a Gucci belt and Ted Baker coat. I also got a fair few beauty products; a huge No7 skincare set, some Charlotte Tilbury beauty products, and GHD straighteners.
I’ve already eagerly used quite a few of my gifts and I absolutely love everything I’ve been gifted. I hope you’ve had the most wonderful Christmas and have been given some lovely presents too! If you’ll excuse me I’m off to have a nosey at some of the gorgeous gifts you’ve all been getting!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I’ll see you in 2018!
