A Sustainable Christmas With Kambukka | A Reusable Mug For Him & Her

Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year, despite how often I moan about the cold and how busy it is. I love that you can almost feel magic in the air. I love Christmas lights and festive drinks and precious time off with loved ones. Jamie and I often try to take festive trips in December, which aren’t complete without gingerbread lattes and marshmallow hot chocolates. If there’s one thing I dislike about the festivities though, it’s the notorious, and disposable, coffee shop red cup. With my Kambukka reusable mug, festive drinks on-the-go don’t secure me a place on the naughty list.

I like to keep reusable bottles and mugs in various places to avoid forgetting them as much as possible. I get so much use out of my Etna (in the cutest colour name ever, Milk & Cookies) that the whole family has started to change its habits. Whilst it’s great that they’re making positive changes too, I’m glad Christmas is coming up so that I can buy them their own!

Jamie, at least, no longer has an excuse to use mine, as recently Kambukka kindly offered to send him his own. I chose the Blue Steel version on his behalf and surprised him with it as an early Christmas gift. We do so much exploring at this time of the year and I wanted to make sure he has it for these occasions. We often grab a festive drink before heading back into the cold to admire all of the lights and to do a little shopping. The mugs keep drinks hot for up to 5 hours, so they double up as fab hand-warmers too! It’s all part of getting into the Christmas spirit.

We love our Etna’s, and they make wonderful standalone Christmas gifts. A reusable mug stuffed with treats isn’t only fun to receive but is really practical too. Think; a mini tub of hot chocolate and fitting accompaniments like marshmallows and flakes. Alternatively, you’re short on time or are looking to gift something a little more sensible, then simply pop a coffee shop gift card inside.

Eco-friendly gifting is important to me, and I often make up Christmas hampers for friends and family. The beauty of hand-making them is that they can be completely personalised. Amongst the traditional food and drink, I like to include little stocking-filler type gifts for each recipient family member. Often, these are in the form of novelty items or homeware gifts like candles. However, this year I’m certainly going to be featuring an Etna reusable mug or two!

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve grown to appreciate thoughtful gifts the most. Often they’re in the form of treats that we wouldn’t typically buy ourselves, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t still hold practical value. I know that I personally most value gifts that last and that I still use to this day. Gifts in the form of an expensive pen, a cherished pair of slippers, or a well-loved board game. Etna provides the same type of feel, a high-quality reusable mug that can be used regularly and will last for a long while.

I just hope that my friends and family share my values. Hopefully, they’re looking forward to receiving their own reusable mugs this Christmas! Cheers!

The Kambukka reusable mug is eco-friendly and would make a great stocking stuffer this year. I would rather have a reusable mug than a flimsy disposable any day.
