If you’ve read any of my other Disney posts, you’ll know that I’m a sucker for any themed products! When Mad Beauty launched a Disney beauty line in Boots and Superdrug stores, I had to get involved.
Beauty and the Beast
One of my favourite things about cold Sundays is relaxing with a face mask, and a lovely hot bath. Usually I’m a fan of bubbles or bath bombs, but these rose petals were a really cute addition to my bath!
I have to say, this is the product that I’ve been most impressed with. As the set came with those sponge eyeshadow applicators that I haven’t used since I was about 9 years old, I was a bit worried that the whole set was probably designed for kids and that the quality wouldn’t be great. When applying with an actual eyeshadow brush, these are gorgeous neutral colours, blend well, and stay on all day without creasing! I also love the highlighter, as it has great gold based shimmer pick up and the tone is nice on my skin.
I’ll start with a plus, these strawberry, cherry and vanilla glosses smell absolutely amazing. I hoped that they would be coloured, but they’re actually all the same clear gloss. This disappointed me a little because despite my many lip products, no-one actually needs to bulk-buy clear gloss. I’d pick a moisturising balm over these any day as they are quite sticky and uncomfortable. I also bought the Snow White version but am giving these away on Twitter as I have a sneaky feeling that they’ll be clear too.
I’m actually pleasantly surprised at the quality of these. Obviously they’re not high-end and unsurprisingly they don’t yield the most impressive results. However, the quality is decent and they dry well. I love the neutral colours but they are a little too sheeny for me. Unlike the other products I do feel as though these ones we’re more specifically designed with a younger audience completely in mind.
Has anyone else tried any Mad Beauty products, what did you think?
