Happy Easter! How are we now a quarter of the way through the year?! I can’t believe how quickly the past two months have flown by. On a positive note, we’re now over March and officially into Spring so hopefully the weather will start improving and there will be much less snow!
I dug this out of my lipstick draw in order to compare it to the Primark dupe which I spoke about here, and since then I’ve rediscovered my love for it! Its such a statement lip and its insanely long lasting. I’m definitely going to have to get my hands on some more of these in different shades!
Primark: Make Up Remover Cloth
Another product which I featured in my Primark luxury dupes, during March I reached for this over my Original Make Up Eraser, purely because at the moment its still new so fluffy and soft! This is such a bargain and if you’re looking to save yourself some money, or reduce the amount of waste you produce (with a face wipe substitute) then definitely pick one up the next time you’re in Primark!
SOSU Lashes: Dubai
Can you tell I’ve been to Primark recently? I rarely go, so when I do I usually take full advantage and buy quite a bit! Unfortunately these are a Primark exclusive so I can’t link them! Why do they still not have a website!?!?! These are way too dramatic for me to want to wear as an every day lash (plus their lash line is super thick so they take more time to apply) but I think that these are absolutely gorgeous and they’re definitely the perfect weekend or night out lash!
My friend Jolanda and I had a ‘make up we don’t use’ swap, and she gave me this. Her loss was definitely my gain because I love the colour, its so different to the shades that I usually reach for! Its lovely and bright and its surprisingly not drying for a lip product which has a matte finish and is so long lasting!
Bubble Tap, Cambridge
Mid-March, Jamie and I went to Cambridge to do some holiday shopping and we maaay have broken our ‘holiday diet’ whilst there… We almost walked past the new waffle shop called Bubble Tap (which is just outside the Grand Arcade), but it looked and smelt so good that we couldn’t resit stopping to try it out! The waffles are pretty big so we chose to share one, and decided on a cookies and cream ice-cream topped with oreo’s, chocolate and caramel sauce! Yum.
Another Cambridge food first for us- we went to Yo! Sushi for lunch and I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to visit! I’m a big sushi fan anyway, but I particularly loved their hot dishes and the fact that you can try out a selection of different foods rather than having to pick just one dish! I’ll definitely be re-visiting Yo! Sushi and I think that it may become a regular favourite!
This favourite was discovered on the last day of the month, just yesterday! Harriet’s tearoom is yet another food based March favourite. I first discovered it last month, although I’ve walked past it a few times, I’d never actually visited. I went with my parents yesterday to meet a family friend there. Not only is it super cute but they have a great menu full of delicious meals and sweet treats! I opted for the brownie and a vanilla pod milkshake and it tasted as good as it looked!
You know that I love Disney. I’m not sure whether its just in my head or not but since they’ve taken over Marvel, I feel as though Marvel films have gotten better and better. Jamie and I went to see Black Panther early in the month. Despite a few reports that its pretty average, we both absolutely loved it! It immediately became my favourite Marvel film, and I would really recommend giving it a watch if you haven’t already!
Calvin Klien Suitcase
I’m headed to Greece in just under a week, YAY. I needed a new cabin suitcase for the trip, so I headed straight to TK Maxx. Unfortunately I didn’t manage to find a cabin suitcase. When I saw a medium Calvin Klien suitcase for £50 how could I leave it in the store?
I hope you had a great month and enjoy the rest of your bank holiday weekend!
