The S Edit | The Block Mini Heel Trend

Mini Heel- Black

This season has seen the comeback of the mini heel. From classic kitten to easy to wear small block style heels, the trend looks like it’s here to stay.

Since the beginning of summer I’ve added two new pairs of mini heels to my shoe collection. I’m all for the trend for a few reasons and if you’re not already a convert, I’m hoping you will be by the end of this post.

DIECHMANN BLACK CROC MULE SANDALS

Diechmann kindly sent me a pair of their gorgeous mini heels recently and I’ve worn them almost every day since. The crocodile print in black is subtle and adds a classic touch.

TOPSHOP WHITE SANDALS

Despite buying these relatively recently I’ve not been able to find them online. I’ve linked a similar pair of their white sandals which are equally lovely.

THEY’RE EASY TO STYLE

With the exception of a few key seasonal styles, my recent shopping habits are seeing me invest in pieces that will last. I’m working towards good cost per wear, which is why I’ve so far opted for black and white. I’ve no doubt that other colours would warrant enough wear too, but the benefit of neutral is the ease of style. I’ve worn both pairs with a variety of colours and paired the white ones with baby blue in my recent Dominican look book. I’ve also worn both pairs with various outfit styles, they pair well with dresses or jeans and effortlessly complete almost any summer look.

THEY’RE COMFORTABLE

Think heels: Think having to wear them in and uncomfortably arched feet? I have a love, hate relationship with high heels and despite my large collection, only really wear them on occasion. They undoubtedly dress up a look with ease and can certainly provide a different, more confident stride. That’s exactly why I’ve so quickly fallen in love with the mini heel. They provide the benefits of a heel but are incredibly comfortable as well as more versatile. Each of these pairs I’ve worn for both short and long periods of time and for respective distances. As someone with incredibly awkward feet in terms of sizing as well as sensitivity, I’ve been impressed by how comfortable they are.

Mini Heel Outfit

I’m sure you can tell that I’m a true fan of the block mini heel. I’ve worn these two pairs so regularly that I’m more than likely to be investing in more. Is the trend something you’ve bought into yet?

I love mini heels! You don’t need to have your feet hurting after a while and don’t need to worry about having the heels sink to the dirt. I love that there are so many different options out there to pair with your outfits. You’re so cute with the skirt and heels! Thanks for sharing!!

I’m glad this trend has made a comeback, as I don’t get on with high heels. I can never walk in them for very long! But I went to a wedding recently with a block heel sandal and was able to wear them comfortably all day, so I’m definitely on board with this trend. Hopefully it sticks around. 🙂
