Pixi Beauty Glow Tonic Collection | New In Skincare

Pixi Glow Tonic Collection

Pixi’s Glow Tonic has proudly boasted cult beauty status for quite some time. In fact, it’s proven so popular that the brand has recently released a whole new collection comprising of a cleanser, serum and moisturisers.

I must admit to the original Glow Tonic toner still being my favourite product of the bunch. However, On-The-Glow is perhaps the only new product that I wouldn’t repurchase myself unless the need for its travel benefit arose. Overall, I’ve been impressed with the whole range and its ability to follow through on its claims. The collection really does make for beautifully moisturised, clear and glowing skin.

GLOW TONIC CLEANSING GEL | £18.00

A hydrating cleansing gel which removes impurities without stripping the skins natural moisture. Its ingredient list boasts glycolic acid, horse chestnut extract, aloe and ginseng, to help refine and brighten. My very first impressions of this were terrible, because, shock horror, it doesn’t lather.

My favourite cleansers by far are ones with simple yet effective ingredients but which come in gel form and lather with water. This just remains a gel until you completely wash it off, which definitely took some getting used to. I have to admit though, that the results definitely make up for the texture. This leaves me looking fresh faced and to be both honest and fitting with the theme: Glowing.

GLOW TONIC | £10.00 (100ml)

Where it all started; THE cult beauty toner. I’ve spoken about my love for Glow Tonic before and even included it in my ‘Best Beauty Buys of 2018’. The product is a bit of a no-brainer really. Despite my (long ago) initial scepticism about whether or not it could live up to both its own claims and the massive hype surrounding it, it does without a doubt.

Glow Tonic Serum

GLOW TONIC SERUM | £26.00

A serum which claims to soften, refine and restore radiance for smooth and balanced skin. I find this quite sticky and if I’m honest, not the most comfortable. On a more positive note, I can’t argue that it does what it claims to. It definitely enhances radiance and similarly to the cleansing gel, I’d rather be impressed by results than by texture. The stickiness is also easily countered with the application of a moisturiser over it and it hasn’t deterred me from using it.

Pixi Glow Tonic Serum

PHENOMINAL GEL | £24.00

A soothing gel which helps to balance and stabilise the pH of the skin. Gel moisturisers are by far my favourite and this one doesn’t let me down. Although it is a little heavier than my usual favourites, it wins points back for being packaged in a tube rather than a jar. Simple pleasures, right? But seriously, it’s just more practical and far more hygienic.

ON-THE-GLOW | £18.00

A play on words. If you hadn’t already guessed, this product is designed for on the go. It’s a travel-friendly solid moisture stick which can be used on the face, lips, body and hair. For hygiene reasons I’d highly recommend swiping this over clean palms before applying where appropriate. Although it’s not a product I’ve found myself going out of my way to use at home, it’s perfect for hand luggage. We already know I’m not a light packer, but I imagine that it’s multi-use makes it a must have for anyone travelling with tight luggage restrictions.

On-the-glow

These products together make for almost a whole skincare routine, featured in order of application. Are there any which you’ve tried yet or that you now have your eye on?

I love Pixi products and I used to use glow tonic OG all the time (I’ve switched to the Nip+Fab one as I needed something more intense) but I am in love with the Rose Glow Mist. It’s so good! 🙂 X

Oh my gosh I’ve never been so jealous! I’ve wanted to try all these products FOREVER but Pixi is hard to find and priced so steep here in Australia – I’m travelling soon and the On-The-Glow is calling out to me!! (These photos are beautiful too by the way!)

I love their skincare, it’s such a shame that the prices are steeper there! I’d love to hear about how you get on with it if you invest- I’ve not had the chance to take it with me anywhere yet so I’m not sure how useful it will be (hopefully very)! x

I’ve been doing a terrible job at keeping up to date with the latest beauty brands and products so I found this post really informative! This is the first time I’ve heard of the Pixi brand but I definitely don’t think it’ll be the last! Their products sound amazing! I’ll definitely have to look into them more! Thanks for sharing!

Oh I’m so glad! It’s difficult to keep up, the industry is just so huge- but I do like to keep an eye on my favourite brands! It’s incredible that you’ve managed to avoid it- their glow tonic has been everywhere haha! x

I literally never change up my skincare as I have so many problems with acne prone skin but after all of the hype around Pixi Glow Tonic, I decided to give it a go. The toner has honestly transformed my complexion and cleared my skin up so well. I really want to try some other Pixi products but wasn’t really sure what to try so this post is really helpful. Thanks for sharing!

I have been hearing a lot about the Pixi Beauty products lately, and all of it has been positive. I might just have to check them out. Honestly, there can’t be this many people loving them if there isn’t something to love!

I’ve only ever really heard positive things too- everyone seems to love it! Haha, I agree- when I first bought the Glow Tonic I was really worried that it had been overhyped but I 100% think that it’s justified now I’ve tried it myself x

On the glow sounds like a great product, other than the hygiene aspect, as you said. I’d be tempted to try it though. I’ve never really got on that well with Pixi as my skin is highly sensitive to glycolic and they use it in a lot of their products. Seeing everyone’s love for Glow Tonic gives me serious FOMO 😂. Having really dry skin, I actually kinda like things that are a little on the sticky side. Does the serum contain glycolic? That sounds like a product I’d really like. Loved this review, really appreciated that you were totally honest about your thoughts on each product x

Oh that’s a shame, I can imagine that their products aren’t best suited to sensitive skin either. I’m afraid it does, it actually describes it as glycolic-rich (10%), it’s such a shame that your skin doesn’t get on with it, but I’m glad you liked the reviews anyway!x

I’m an awful beauty blogger as I’d never actually tried the glow tonic until I received my one of these packages. I am absolutely IN LOVE with it now, though! The pHenomenal gel has definitely been the product I’ve used the most, I’m so close to running out of it. It’s so cooling as well as being super nourishing and it’s the BEST base to use before makeup as I don’t tend to use primers that much. I can’t say I’ve used On The Glow a lot yet, though. I’ll probably start giving it more attention once I’ve ran out of the gel!

Haha, there are so many new products launching all of the time that I get why you didn’t. I bought it a while back and loved it and now thankfully I’m on their PR list, it’s saving me a small fortune haha! It’s interesting to hear that you haven’t given On The Glow a lot of attention yet either, I do like it but think it’s quite a niche product to be honest x

A while ago, I treated myself to Pixi’s Beauty Sleep Cream and think it is fantastic! I can honestly see a difference and my skin is definitely much clearer and ‘glowy’. I’m now really interested in trying out some other products in their collection, so this post is super helpful. The Glow Tonic sounds like something I’d love to try next, especially as it lives up to all the hype. Thank you for sharing your thoughts Soph, this has really inspired me to check out more products in this awesome range, great post! <3 xx

Oh that’s one of theirs that I haven’t tried yet! They definitely are the queens off glow. I don’t think you can go wrong with the glow tonic, I absolutely love it, they sell it in all kinds of sizes too so you can always get a mini one to try first which I think is super handy! x

I got some of Pixi’s Rose tonic in my M&S Beauty Calendar last year but I don’t think it did a great deal for me. I might have to try the Glycolic one as I’ve never yet read a bad review of it! And I know what you mean about preferring foaming cleansers, you just feel so much cleaner, don’t you? BUT this one sounds amazing, results not texture is my new mantra, thank you! Lisa xx

Oh that’s a shame! I quite like the rose one for mornings but I definitely find it more gentle and less effective. I’m so glad you get where I’m coming from! But yes, great results are definitely the ultimate goal haha!x
